Our Services
Our programs are based upon the New Zealand early childhood curriculum, Te Whaariki.
Our program caters for all children’s social, emotional and educational needs and it helps develop their awareness and acceptance of others.
We provide opportunities for each child to explore and enjoy, first hand, learning experiences with support from qualified and caring staff.

Our Philosophy
Aroha me Manaakitanga/Love and Care
At Tuakau’s Little Stars we respect te ira atua (the spiritual part of the child). We believe each tamariki (child) is special and unique. This is recognised in how we interact with tamariki and facilitate their ngā ara ako (learning pathways). We care deeply about the tamariki you entrust to us; we show this by creating rich learning experiences, using a safe and positive environment to enhance kotahitanga (holistic development), and recreating the magic and aroha of our own childhood.
Family/Whanaungatanga
We are extremely proud to be a whānau (family) business, therefore whānau is very important to us. We want whānau to feel at home in our centre, we are open and responsive to all your needs.Your tamariki have the right to experience affection warmth, and constant care while they are a part of our Tuakau’s Little Stars whānau. Our centre has well-established, long-standing trust and friendship with our community and local whānau. This sets a solid foundation for effective communication and collaboration.
Kaitiakitanga/Care for our EnvironmentKaitiakitanga plays an important role in our centre. Giving our tamariki the opportunity to be involved in learning about their roles as kaitiaki (guardians) will help them develop an appreciation of the world and its resources. Atua Māori (Māori gods) are respected and appreciated as we care for the environment we live in.
Professional/Ngaiotanga
For us as kaiako, professionalism is the standard we measure ourselves by. We show this through our positive relationships, our mana and conduct, korero and partnerships with hoamahi (colleagues) and whānau. We strive to continually develop our knowledge and practice as kaiako.
