Over Two Year Olds

  • 'Big Stars' is our over twos building. Here kaiako encourage tamariki to learn, explore, create and grow every day. We support and encourage each child to express themselves and their individuality. We focus on independence and children’s self-help skills in preparation for school.

  • At Big Stars, the tamariki are involved in many different learning experiences which help them to become competent and confident learners 
  • Some of our learning experiences include:
  • Regular visits to our local library
  • Daily 'mat time' where everyone is involved in stories, songs, games, music and interactive learning
  • Baking
  • Gardening

  • We pride ourselves on having a well-developed 'readiness for school program, come and see us for more information.

  • 20 hours free - We also provide 20 hours free for tamariki over three years of age.
